Covering the costs
After an intervention by the ski patrol, certain formalities are required to process your case and cover any rescue costs. The procedure to follow depends on your insurance cover:
- Carré Neige insurance: costs are covered and you don't have to pay anything up-front, provided you submit proof of this insurance cover and the required documents.
- Personal insurance: you will need to report the incident to your insurance company within 48 hours. Depending on your policy, you can request a payment guarantee, or advance payment can be made online.
- If you're unsure about your insurance cover, check what you are entitled to (Carré Neige, bank card, home or travel insurance, etc.) and follow the appropriate steps.
Who to contact?
In the event of an accident in the ski area, you will need to alert the rescue services as quickly as possible to ensure you receive appropriate assistance. Be sure to specify your exact location, the nature of the accident and the condition of the person involved.
You can also contact the relevant services for information, to follow-up your case or for any matters related to insurance and payment.
