A magical end to the year

For the end-of-year festivities under the Christmas lights, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville is organising a host of activities to keep you entertained, children and adults alike. The village will be the beautiful backdrop to all that winter magic in a mix of traditions, authenticity and enchanting shows.

Bring your loved ones to share this unique experience in a magical atmosphere of music and light, with activities that plunge you right into the Christmas spirit.

15 December: Saint-Martin lights up

The festivities kick off with a day at the Christmas art and craft market, where around twenty stallholders will display their handmade jewellery, wooden objects, traditional garments and many more creations. In the evening, the church of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville invites you to round off the day with an exceptional concert of live music.

22 December: jazz takes to the slopes

In the ski area and at the foot of the slopes, enjoy the energetic vibe of the Téléphérique Jazz Band. This brass band promises to keep the festive mood going from 10am to 5pm, amid sounds of jazz, swing and bossa nova.

23 December: Savoie-style bar

The village square will host the pop-up bar serving local specialities from 6pm to 8pm. Try saucisson and cheese from the local region, washed down with a glass of Savoie wine, all in a friendly atmosphere. The evening’s entertainment will be provided by the group ATP (Art & Traditions Populaires La Savoie), in a folklore show that will really plunge you into Savoyard traditions.

24 December: Christmas Eve celebrations

Bring your own cup and enjoy a courtesy hot chocolate or mulled wine.

The village lights up from 6pm to 8pm for a magical evening featuring a torchlight descent, fireworks and the arrival of Father Christmas. Enjoy a courtesy hot drink and soak up the magical atmosphere. Do not miss this! The NEO troupe put on a show of lights and acrobatics, with fire, dance and a high-flying act on the steeple of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville.

25 December: horse-and-carriage rides

Dive even deeper into the Christmas spirit with a horse-and-carriage ride in the narrow, snow-covered streets of the village. Pick your slot and book online for an experience beyond time in an enchanting winter setting.

29 December: ice sculpture

Try your hand at ice sculpting, at the bottom of the Saint Martin 1 gondola lift from 2pm to 5pm. Children and adults can join the relaxed atmosphere and carve away at their own block of ice. It’s free and there’s no need to book ahead.

30 December: oyster and champagne bar

An oyster and champagne bar on the village square invites you for a free tasting of fresh oysters and wine from Domaine Perceval. All to the sights and sounds of a jazz tap performance by Laurent Bortolotti and the band Sunshine in Ohio. Expect a mix of gypsy jazz, bluegrass and percussion music that should get you dancing.

31 December: New Year festivities

To see the New Year in, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville will burst into life with a pop rock concert from the group The Dobeat Show and the dancers from Cabaret Urbain. The evening will end with a torchlight descent and a firework display, not forgetting the free hot chocolate and mulled wine served in a friendly and festive atmosphere.
