Mill and Green Energy Festival #4
On Sunday 29 June 2025, enjoy a festive day for the family the Burdin Mill. Immerse yourself in the world of energy past and present, surrounded by nature, entertainment, and discoveries in an exceptional spot in the heart of the Vallee des Belleville.

Spend the day exploring a lively, inspiring place that combines heritage, ecology, and creativity. There’s something for all ages, with fun activities, peaceful relaxation by the water, and surprising discoveries.


On the programme
Access to the event is free and the activities are open to all. To get to the mill, you can walk, cycle or take a free horse-drawn carriage from Saint-Marcel, a hamlet 3km from Saint-Martin-de-Belleville.
11am to 6pm
- Sustainable energy trail: follow a trail around the mill and find out about renewable energies.
- Vanoise National Park stand: learn to recognise the local flora and fauna.
- Smoothie bike: blend your drink as you pedal!
- Gold panning workshop: look for flecks of gold and take away a souvenir vial.
10am to 12pm
- Geocaching and Land Art: set off in search of hidden treasures, then create a work of art using natural elements.
12pm to 2pm
- Picnic: relax on the grass with your lunch.
- Energy Quiz: have fun testing your knowledge of energy.
2pm to 5pm
- Visit the Burdin Mill: find out how water used to turn the millstones.
- Rocket and steamboat workshop: make your own invention and launch it into the air or water.
- Medieval battles and axe-throwing: challenge yourselves like real knights.
- Acoustic concert by Hervé Amiot: enjoy musical entertainment by the water.
